What else do you notice?
The itch is one clue. Its companions can make the story clearer.
Look beyond the itch
Two people can both say “my scalp itches” while noticing completely different accompanying clues. Record what is present without rushing to name a condition.
What can you see or feel?
- Fine or larger flakes
- Redness or another color change
- Bumps, sores, crusting or drainage
- Tenderness, pain, burning or stinging
- A coated feeling or visible buildup
- Nothing visible at all
