Decode the Itch · Lesson 07 of 10

Not all scalp itches are the same.

The same symptom can sit inside completely different stories.

Group the clues before choosing your response.

Three itchy scalps

One person notices visible flakes. Another feels tenderness after a tight style. A third began itching after a new product. The word “itch” is shared, but the timing, location and accompanying clues are not.

Build your scalp story

  • When: What happened just before it began?
  • Where: Is it localized, repeated or widespread?
  • What else: What can you see or feel alongside it?

These details do not create a diagnosis. They help you ask a better question and avoid treating every itch exactly the same way.

Your next stepSay your pattern in one sentence: “When ___ happens, my scalp tends to itch around ___, and I also notice ___.”
